Fraternidad Park was founded in 1892 to honor the quatercentenary of the landing of Spanish the the coasts of America, but 30 years later it was refurbished and rechristened to celebrate the 1927 Pan-American Conference, so nowadays the park houses several busts of American leaders, including Abraham Lincoln.
Currently the park works as station for lots of bus and underground lines. It is normal to see a great amount of old North American cars used as shared taxis.
In the vicinity of Fraternidad Park you’ll find numerous monumental buildings and relevant urban spots, like the El Capitolio de Cuba, Real Fábrica de Tabacos Partagás, Saratoga Hotel, Aldama Palace, El Paseo Martí (Martí Promenade), La India Fountain, or the Chinese quarter.
