Guaguas tend to be crowded, yet are still the most efficient way to move around cities in Cuba.

These urban buses have a set of established stops, where forms a seemingly unorganized line gathers, so it would be better to ask for permission to join. Urban busses cost between 40 cents and 1 CUC.

Once you step into the guagua, you have to move all the way to the back, and always leave by the back door. Never leave your bag or backpack unattended, and pay close attention to your pockets.
