In the municipality of Puerto Padre stand out two beaches La Boca and La Llanita, which are a must-visit place if you go to this welcoming municipality. Both beaches are by the shore of a beautiful bay and are considered a ‘secret’ since no one knows them and are enjoyed by 4 or 5 bathers along the year. The only season when this beaches are highly visited is during July and August, when the Cuban people move to spend the summer in the area.
If you decide to try these beautiful corners, you will have the chance of enjoying the kindness of the local people, neighbours who offer you delights of the sea, such as lobsters, prawns, octopuses, etc. You can also buy in a little kiosk, located in the pier, drinks and snacks, as well as order food.
Unlike other beaches, the access to La Boca and La Llanita is easier and can be done two ways. The first one is by hiring a car which will get you close to the pier and from there take a boat to cross to the opposite shore where the beaches are located. Another option is to rent the car. In this case, it is usually a longer trip, but you can access directly to the beaches, without needing a boat.
