This aquarium, established in 1960, is located in the neighborhood of Miramar de Ciudad, in Havana, and is visited by many tourists year round. Its main focus are sea fish, although sea lions and dolphins are also present. It boasts large spaces where children can see shows with dolphins and sea lions, which are included in the admission price.
These shows are held several times a day. The dolphin ones occur at 11am and 3pm from Monday to Friday; and at 11am, 3pm, and 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The shows with sea lions are at 12:30pm and 2:30pm on weekdays, and an extra one at 6:30pm during the weekends. Opening hours vary and can be checked in the official webpage.
In these facilities, you can also see exhibitions with sea turtles in a reproduction of the coast; an exhibition on sea caves, a Manglar trail with three species of mangle, and a biodiversity area.
