Enclose in the Martí Park, in the center of the city of Banes, the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Caridad Church was the places where Fidel Castro Ruz was married to Mirta Díaz Balart.
Designed with the art-deco style, this church built in wood with a cover in zinc in 1910, was rebuilt in 1948 with brick walls and wood gates.
It is a simple Catholic temple, with two roofs, which imitates the Gothic art through the drafted stained glass windows on the high windows of the facade. When you go inside, you will notice that the church has a central nave and two side ones, but its pulpit do not have cuppola neither belltower.
Visit the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Caridad Church and have a walk by the places where took place one of the most important wedding ceremonies for the history of Cuba.
