The Casa Natal de Carlos J. Finlay Birth-House, located in the Cristo Street of Camagüey, is a small museum inaugurated in the house where the eminent scientist was born and died. The building dates back to the 18th century and, over all, its primitive architecture of Moorish-mudejar style stands out.
The aim of this museum is to defend the truth of the life and scientific achievements of one of the heroes of Camagüey, who made the revolutionary discovering of the transmission of the yellow fever through mosquitoes.
