The Sierra del Chorrillo Mountains is a protected area of the municipality of Najasa, in the province of Camagüey, Cuba. To access to these mountains, it is necessary to have an own vehicle and drive 24 km east to Camagüey along the central road and other 12 km southeast to Najasa. The region houses three essential elevations: the Sierra del Chorrillo Mountains, the Sierra de Najasa Mountains and Guaicanamar Mountains.
One of the most visited points is the Hacienda La Belén, a ranch built during the Second World War and that, today, is treated as a natural reserve. It counts on a large diversity of exotic animals, and several birds. You can make excursions in the reserve choosing between two guided walks: the Sendero Santa Gertrudis Trail and the Sendero de las Aves Trail. Both walks are perfect for knowing the wildlife of the zone.
