Florida is a municipality located in the midwestern area of the province of Camagüey, Cuba.
It is a working-class place whose economy is mainly based on the sugar industry, although other activities like sports, fishing, food industry and cattle are taken place there too.
The main attraction of Florida lies in its traditions, highlighting the Fiestas Campesinas Festival and the Floridiano Carnival. The first celebration attempts to organize two groups of people that, on a horse, try to thread the highest number of rings with a ribbon tied to a spike. The second one is in October, the queen of the Carnival is chosen and many parades and competitions are organized.
