Guáimaro is the most eastern municipality of Cuba in the province of Camagüey. It became famous when it became the headquarters of the Assembly of Guáimaro, celebrated in April of 1869. It was the place where the first Cuban Constitution was approved and the emancipation of the slaves was demanded.
Among the most relevant places in the region, we can find the Parque Constitución Park or the Guáimaro Municipal Museum that collects the cultural heritage of the region.
