Cayo Cruz (Cruz Cay) is one of the most virgin and paradisiacal keys of the archipelago known as Jardines del Rey (Gardens of the King), located on the northern coast of the province of Camagüey, Cuba.
In this beautiful cay you will find the tranquility you need to enjoy a vacation in a paradisiacal environment. Cruz Cay has only two modern hotel complexes, since priority has been given to maintaining a natural environment.
There is a small causeway that connects it with Romano Cay, located to the west.

The beaches are the main attraction of Cruz Cay because of their paradisiacal character. All of them have fine white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Cara Beach and Onda Beach stand out for their size. In all of them you can find harmless wild animals such as iguanas, starfish, or even dolphins playing near the shore.
Other outstanding beaches are Dorada Beach and Sigua Beach, perfect for rest and disconnection.
Snorkeling is a common activity in Cayo Cruz due to the shallow waters and the beauty of its seabed.
If you want to make an excursion from Cruz Cay, you should consider visiting the Reserva Ecológica Limones-Tuabaquey (Limones-Tuabaquey Ecological Reserve). About 20 km from the city of Camagüey, this reserve is a paradise of flora and fauna.
In addition, one of the most famous activities in Cruz Cay is fishing in the ancient waters. If you are a fishing lover or if you want to learn, Cruz Cay is the place to develop your mastery.
As is the case in several keys in Cuba, lodging here is exclusively in the form of all-inclusive hotel resorts. In the case of Cruz Cay there are 3 possible accommodations.
The Hotel Valentin Cayo Cruz (Valentine Cruz Cay Hotel) has many services and an all-inclusive regime, a spectacular 5-star hotel.
The Iberostar Selection Esmeralda, which offers luxury bungalows surrounded by tropical gardens, where you can enjoy the excellence of a 5-star hotel with all the flavor of Cuba.
The other option is the Hotel La Marina Plaza & SPA, which has a SPA inside the complex.
The most usual route is if you go to Cruz Cay from Havana. In this case you can take a flight to the Aeropuerto Internacional Jardines del Rey (International Airport of the Gardens of the King) and after arriving at Cruz Cay.
If you happen to be in Camagüey you have the option of getting to the archipelago Jardines del Rey (Gardens of the King) by highway on the Pedraplén and once there, connect to Cruz Cay from Romano Cay.
