The Museo Municipal de Viñales (Viñales Municipal Museum) is located on the main street of the city of Viñales, in western Cuba.
The museum, which details the history of the town of Viñales, is found in the house of the famous hero of independence, Adela Azcuy Labrador.
The museum contains five different rooms: The first explains the town’s characteristics and its limits; the second and the third are dedicated to natural history, where there are reconstructions of a cave and a flat-top hillock characteristic of the area, as well as exhibitions about the area’s first inhabitants; the fourth room is dedicated to countryside ethnography, exhibiting a large quantity of objects relating to the everyday tasks of a peasant; the fifth and last room is dedicated to social history, with exponents from the colony, the pseudo-Republic and the Revolution.
