The Céspedes Park is one of the main meeting points for the inhabitants of Bayamo and is considered the second best place of the city to enjoy a good concert, since every Sunday performs in int the Bayamo Band.
In 1868 this place was chosen by Céspedes to proclaim, in front of the city hall, the Cuban independence and, therefore, the square is officially known as the Plaza de la Revolución Square.
This green area surrounded by a wood and beautiful monuments, it presents a rectangular shape characterized for hosting on its space a bronze statue of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, the main hero of the First Independence War, and a marble bust of Perucho Figueredo, author of the national anthem.
