It has a facade with a Neoclassical arcade; the towers in both sides of the main facade are made in four levels, providing more slimness to the construction.
With de 8.4 km², on its interior you’ll observe how are mixed Neoclassical, Gothic and Baroque styles, creating a temple where elements do perfectly go together.
The Purísima Concepción Virgin, also known as Virgin of the Fight, is the patron saint of Manzanillo since 1819, when the citizens defeated those pirates trying to attack the city. They saw victory as a miracle, so each 8th December they celebrate it.
From its beginnings, the beautiful temple was erected as the main church in the City, what nowadays makes it looking even better. A curious detail is that in this church worked Carlos Manuel de Céspedes as a lawyer.
