The Iglesia Parroquial de Nuestra Señora de la Caridad Parish Church is located in an elevated platform in the city of Trinidad. It dates from between 1717 and 1727 and it still preserves its eclectic facade where you can see the images of Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Cobre.
Thanks to the Espirituano priest Silvestre Alonso Muñoz was built the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Caridad Shrine, since he was in charge of the costs of the work. Its importance comes from the second temple in the nation dedicated to the Virgen de la Caridad.
In 1846, the Espirituano Serafín Sánchez Valdivia, who took part in three independence wars, was baptised in this same church.
