The Trinitarian Architecture Museum is located at the Plaza Mayor Square, in Trinidad. It has unique Cuban architectural characteristics.
Known as “the blue house”, it consists of two different buildings, built in 1783 and in 1785, that were connected in 1819. It used to be home to the Sánchez Iznaga family. In 1979, the heirs sold this real estate and only a year later, it was inaugurated as a museum.
The Trinitarian Architecture Museum has eight different showrooms in where you can discover the local architecture and works by artists and artisans. You can also go all over the city’s streets accompanied by an expert guide who will tell you the story of the different houses and squares of Trinidad, an authentic museum city.
