The Romantic Museum or Brunet Palace, is the first museum opened in the village, in 1973. It is located in the heart of the old town of Trinidad, on a side of the Plaza Mayor Square.
The palace is one of the most beautiful ones in Cuba, which formerly belonged to the Brunet Count, a wealthy creole who finished the construction of the building in 1808. It is distinguished because of its Andalucian courtyard, which in that time was considered and the most beautiful one in the Caribbean country and is characterized by the mixture between the Mudejar and Neoclassic styles.
Inside, there is a valuable 19th century objects collection. It has 14 rooms where decorative art works are exhibited such as silverwares, old furniture, chinas, silver-smithing, lingerie in addition to luxury objects of that time.
