This square where the Iglesia Parroquial Mayor de San Juan Bautista Church and Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje Church are located is a curious case in Remedios, as they give mass alternately in each of them.
The first is from the end of the 18th century, even though there was another temple previously. It is one of the most beautiful ecclesiastic buildings on the island.
The bell tower was erected between 1848 and 1858, and in 1944, the millionaire philanthropist Eutimio Falla Bonet financed a restoration project thanks to which the church now has a golden main altar with a mahogany roof.
The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje Church is a real Colonial architectural jewel, built in 1600. Its great architectural and patrimonial value make it a place of great touristic interest.
